Simply put, acupuncture is the insertion of very tiny needles on very precise points on the body to help promote blood and energy flow, and to stimulate the body’s natural ability to heal.

Acupuncture is an ancient therapy rooted in East Asian medicine dating back thousands of years. There are many forms of Chinese medicine practiced today, but here at Desert Sol Alchemy our treatments are primarily derived from the Classical Chinese Medicine lineage. CCM is based upon Daoist naturalist philosophies. It has been recorded, preserved, and passed down through ancient texts and family traditions, and is considered to be the most holistic approach to medical treatment. CCM was largely lost during the Maoist Chinese communist regime in favor of a more mainstream, western influenced style of medicine referred to as Traditional Chinese Medicine. Although both are highly effective, TCM primarily focuses on the primary channel system whereas CCM places a larger emphasis on the complement channel system which includes the sinew, luo, divergent, and extraordinary meridians in addition to the primary channel system. This approach creates a deeper understanding of each individual and invites a more holistic treatment style which encompasses the body, mind, and spirit.

Microneedling is a gentle, non-invasive treatment involving the insertion of very fine short needles into the skin for the purpose of rejuvenation. The needles help stimulate collagen and elastin production, improve skin texture and reduce wrinkles, acne scars, age spots and hyperpigmentation. Microneedling can also stimulate hair growth and is a highly effective treatment for hair loss. Each treatment is combined with a custom Chinese herbal serum depending on your goals and is followed by a cooling face mask and red light therapy.

Most patients need between 4-6 treatments spaced 1 month apart to see results. After that, we recommend treatment every 2-3 months.

Nanoneedling is a gentle, non-invasive treatment utilizing microscopic, hair-like needles to penetrate the top layer of skin by separating cells and allowing active ingredients to be delivered. The benefits include reduced puffiness, under-eye bags, and pigmentation, improved skin cell turnover, radiant, hydrated and rejuvenated skin, and an immediate improvement in the skin’s appearance and texture with no recovery time. This treatment can be done on a weekly basis and is typically used for more sensitive areas and skin types. ​​​​
